

In the event of any alarm from the vehicle, Cellstop's 24/7 Control Centre will contact the owner of the vehicle. On confirmation by the vehicle owner of an actual theft, the control room will begin tracking and monitoring the vehicle on their control screens and will liaise with Capital Air ( 24-hour armed vehicle recovery unit) and the police to help recover the vehicle.

04 May 2012 - At 06h11 Agent Ntsiki received a call from the Kamo Holdings requesting a poll (position update) of one of their vehicles. 06h15 Agent Ntsiki located the vehicle and phoned the client to confirm location, client in turn confirmed that the vehicle was stolen. 06h17 Agent Ntsiki contacted Capital Air to dispatch their ground team. 08h10 Capital Air reported that they were few meters away from the position but mentioned that the area was very treacherous and they had to cross a river to get to the position.
08h20 Capital Air reported that they were at the position but could not see any vehicle, at this point Earnest, CellStop Head of Customer Relations, requested Capital Air to check around on the radius for vehicle tracks. Capital Air was advised that the position was in real time, the GPS was locked and that the battery voltage was still at 25v and there was no tamper alarm received from the unit, which guarantees that the unit was not interfered with.
08h45 Capital Air was questioning people in the nearby village. The vehicle's Trip Replay shows that the vehicle was driven to the area, switched off and did not move thereafter. 09h15 Capital Air contacted Cellstop and advised that they had recovered the unlocked, abandoned vehicle. There was no visible damage to the vehicle and there was no one near the vehicle. CellStop Operations Director, Thembi Sithole, also went to the position around 09h40.Vehicle was handed over to the SAPS and Capital Air stood down at 10h20.
18 March 2012 - At 20h53 Agent Ngwanekazi received a call from Mr Augus reporting that one of his drivers have been hijacked. Agent Ngwanekazi checked the unit and it was still communicating. Capital Air was dispatched to recover the vehicle in Soshanguve. At 22h45 Agent Ngwanekazi received a call from Capital Air reporting that there was no vehicle at the coordinates given to them. Agent Ngwanekazi confirmed the coordinates with them and assured that the vehicle was reporting in real-time with the GPS locked and that the position was accurate At 23h00 Capital air called Agent Ngwanekazi to report that they found the vehicle concealed at the position given. Vehicle was not damaged but left abandoned. SAPS was called to the scene and the driver also went with them. No injuries to the driver was reported and the vehicle was handed over to the SAPS on site.
February 2012 - At 05h28 Agent Saneziwe received a call from Mike (CellStop Sales) reporting that one of ETS001 fleet (CellStop Lesotho Client) were hijacked in Durban. Client reported that his truck & Trailer (with a full load), was on its way to Lesotho from DBN when the armed hijackers overpowered the driver. Taking his keys and cellphone and then chaining him to other 'highjacked' drivers in the back of another truck.The unit was still communicating and at 05h35 Capital Air was dispatched to recover the truck.
At 06h35 Capital Air phoned to notify Agent Saneziwe that they had recovered the vehicle. They reported that the container was still sealed and seemed like the hijackers had tried to open the container but failed. The vehicle was handed over to the SAPS at 08h25, Warranty Officer Leigh called to notify Agent Saneziwe that they found the driver inside the other truck, chained to other drivers in Harrismith. Client reported that he received truck back and confirmed that the passenger window door was broken, a bullet hole through the front windscreen and five bullet holes through the roof but delighted that the unit was still working.
18 Jan 2012 - Agent Vuyo received a call at 04h53 from a client reporting her vehicle was stolen from the taxi rank in East London. After confirming with the Driver and checking the vehicle status (polling in Umtata), Vuyo relayed the information to the Client and she in return requested we track and recover the vehicle. Agent Vuyo contacted the Umtata Police with the exact coordinates and vehicle status (stationary) and with this knowledge they recovered and arrested the suspects at 05h34. A Case of Vehicle Theft was opened, at Umtata Police station, and the vehicle has been taken to the station for safekeeping.
13 Nov 2011 - Agent Ngwanekazi received a call at 07h49 from a client reporting his vehicle's been hijacked at his premises in Rooderpoort. The Client requested we track and recover the vehicle. The vehicle was tracked and found to be connecting in Simonsberg Avenue, Bosmont. Capital Air was dispatched at 08h14 and they recovered the vehicle at 08h55 abandoned with all doors locked and no damage to the vehicle. Vehicle was handed over to the Sophia Town SAPS. The client appreciated the speedy recovery and the manner in which the recovery was handled.
11 Nov 2011 - at 23h47 Agent Ngwanekazi received a call that a client has been hijacked by two armed men. The client requested that Cellstop track the vehicle and recover it. As the vehicle was no longer connecting at the time of the call. Agent Ngwanekazi dispatched Capital Air to the last position which was at Ngculu Str. in Diepkloof. Capital air on arrival reported there was no sign of vehicle but with help from the Diepkloof Police Department, the vehicle was recovered at 00h35.
12 Sep 2011 - Vehicle Recovery in New Castle. Client called at 10h50 and requested that CellStop Control Centre Immobilize the vehicle. The client reported that the vehicle was supposed to be in JHB on Saturday, but since went missing and the Driver isn't answering his cellphone . At 15h40 Client contacted the Control Centre and said he was in New Castle and requested that CellStop direct him to the vehicle. The vehicle was in Madadeni township and the roads were not marked which made the recovery very difficult. Client requested that we assist with the recovery and Capital air was dispatched. The Recovery Team was delayed by roadworks on the road, but finally got to the vehicle and found that the vehicle was being towed, since it was immobilized and the thieves could not drive the vehicle. One suspect, a woman, was arrested and two suspects ran away. There was no damage to the vehicle. Vehicle was handed over to the Madadeni SAPS with the client being present. A Case of Vehicle Theft was opened, at Madadeni Police station.
19 Aug 2011 - Agent Nyembezi received a call from the Client reporting a vehicle stolen in Hammersdale, KZN. Vehicle was stolen outside the Boxer Shop where the driver was making a delivery. Vehicle was tracked and located in Mpumalanga near a place called Georgesdale. Recovery was initiated at 10h41 and vehicle was recovered at 11h16. One suspect was arrested. Vehicle's dashboard was damaged, ignition was broken and there was 3 bullet holes through the door. The vehicle's load was still intact. Vehicle handed over to Mpumalanga SAPS and client was asked to send another vehicle to carry the load.
10 Aug 2011 - Agent Saneziwe received three consecutive panic alarms at 01h49 from a vehicle. She called the client and the client called the driver. The driver checked and found that the vehicle was not there. Client called the CellStop Control Centre and reported that the vehicle was missing. The unit was no longer communicating. Agent Saneziwe provided the client with the position of the alarm and the client headed there with the driver. The vehicle was recovered at the alarm position in Soweto at a hostel and Capital Air was called for back up. The SAPS arrived before the Capital air, and Capital air was requested to stand down. Vehicle was recovered with the dashboard stripped and wires cut. The radio which was in the vehicle was found in another vehicle at the hostel. No arrests was made.
28 July 2011 – Agent Vuyo recovered a vehicle in 30mins. Hijacking in the heart of the JHB township, Alexandra. Vehicle was hijacked by three armed men and drove away. Client sent the STOP command via his cellphone and immobilized his vehicle. Agent Vuyo called the Client to find out if everything was fine, client confirmed that the vehicle had been hijacked. Capital air was directed to the stationary vehicle position. Vehicle was recovered with the slight damage on the rear and front bumpers. Vehicle was safely handed over to the Alexandra SAPS.
23 May 2011 – Agent Saneziwe has successfully recovered a stolen vehicle at the early hours of Saturday 21st of May. Vehicle was stolen at the Taxi rank in Pietermaritzburg around 1am, even though the vehicle was reported some hours late she still managed to track the vehicle. Capital Air was dispatched as well as the local SAPS. SAPS got to the vehicle first and one suspect was arrested. The radio was missing and there was a damage on the front bumper as well as a scratch on the door. Vehicle was safely handed over to the client and the SAPS.
6 May 2011 – Agent Saneziwe sucessfully recovered a stolen vehicle for Avis Van Rental in Cape town. Vehicle was stolen from the panel beaters, at an unknown time. Call received at 08h40 and Capital air was dispatched at 08h45 and 09h15, vehicle was recovered in Parow.
